Mission:
The DeKalb County Corn and Soybean Grower’s Association
is organized and operated exclusively for educational and
scientific purposes, including but not limited to the
following activities: production,
promotion and marketing of corn and soybeans and to generally
further and develop the agricultural industry in DeKalb
County, Illinois.
Membership:
Membership in the DeKalb County Corn & Soybeans Growers
involves being a direct member with either or both of the
state organizations: Illinois Corn Growers Association (ICGA)
or Illinois Soybean Association (ISA), that are both
headquartered at Bloomington
,
IL.
Currently there are 170 Corn Grower and 58 Soybean Members in the county. Illinois
Corn Growers Association dues are $75.00 per year or three
years for $145.00. The
Illinois Soybean Association dues are $80 per year or $195 for
a three-year membership. Dues
payment can be made at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau office or
directly to either state organization.

Benefits:
The Corn &
Soybean Growers are a collective voice for the corn and
soybean industries. Local
corn promotions include ethanol, corn food products such as
corn oil and corn sweetener.
Local soybean promotions include soy diesel, soy ink, soy food products such as
soynuts and soy oil.
Annually, a
hybrid and variety
comparison plot is sponsored and a Field Day is held in
September. Plot
results are compiled and sent to all members.
