Mission
The DeKalb-Kane Cattlemen's Association promotes the general
welfare of persons associated with the cattle industry through
the dissemination of information and educational programs, and
furthermore addresses issues confronting the beef industry.
Membership
Currently there are 70 Cattlemen's Association members in
DeKalb and Kane counties.
Cattlemen's Association members have the opportunity to be
a member of the county, state and national Cattlemen's Associations.
Membership dues for Illinois Beef Association membership
or for the
National Cattlemen's Beef Association are $50 - $150. Dues are paid directly to the state office located in
Springfield, Illinois. The national office is based in Englewood,
Colorado.

Benefits
Local producer programs include sponsoring the annual banquet,
annual business meeting, Steak Fry,
and providing management programs.
The association offers support for youth programs such as
the Beef Efficiency Contest, Bucket Calf Program, Land of
DeKalb Class, Meat for Education, Ag in the Classroom and the 4-H fair and auction.
Beef promotions directed at consumers include Beef for Father's
Day promotion in June, working with retail stores and
grilling ribeyes.
